Owner, Veterinarian
Dr. Sara Jennen’s father is a doctor in the human healthcare world, so she’s been exposed to medicine her entire life. She always had an affinity for the earth’s creatures and enjoyed helping pets and wildlife in whatever way she could. For Dr. Jennen, veterinary care was the perfect way to couple her interests in science and medicine with her passion for helping pets and animal owners! She proudly serves as the owner and operator of Pine Street Animal Clinic.
Dr. Jennen was born and raised in Little Rock, Arkansas, and moved to Cabot after high school. She attended Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge to earn her veterinary degree, living in Dallas, Texas for a few years after graduation, and then returned home in 2003 to start practicing in this area. Dr. Jennen took a job at the very same veterinary clinic that she took her own pet to—a loveable Lhasa Apso named Sassy—and would end up purchasing that practice a few short years later. She’s owned the clinic since 2006 and moved the hospital to its current location on Pine Street in 2015.
Around the clinic, Dr. Jennen enjoys internal medicine and loves the challenge of using diagnostic techniques to determine the problem and a viable solution. Most of all, she likes to speak one-on-one with pet owners and meet their adorable animal companions on a daily basis.
At home, Dr. Jennen shares her life with five dogs and a cat, all of whom are rescues. When time permits between work and family life, she enjoys swimming, boating, and tubing on the water. She’s also a licensed realtor—Dr. Jennen loves to buy houses, renovate them, and rent them out.

Practice Manager
Michelle was a client here at Pine Street Animal Clinic before she became an employee. She brought her dog into the hospital several times a week for blood tests, and learned so much during that time that she fell in love with the world of veterinary medicine. When a job opening became available, Michelle knew that it was too good of an opportunity to pass up. The rest is history—now, she keeps things running like a well-oiled machine as Pine Street Animal Clinic’s Practice Manager!
Originally from Mississippi, Michelle moved with her family to Sherwood, Arkansas at the age of eight and then to Cabot at 15. She’s been here ever since. Michelle joined the team here at Pine Street Animal Clinic in April of 2005 and has continued to learn and grow in the field since that time. Now, she serves the clinic’s clients, patients, and staff as Practice Manager—Michelle particularly loves to educate pet owners on the best care techniques for their four-legged companions. For her, the sense of accomplishment her work brings is always worth it!
At home, Michelle has two pets. Zeppelin is a long-haired dapple Dachshund who comes to work with her every day—he is wheelchair-bound thanks to Intervertebral Disk Disease, and serves as an inspiration to other pet owners whose dogs suffer from the same malady. Lucky is a Shepherd mix brought into the clinic as a puppy after an unfortunate encounter with a car, and Michelle adopted him after he made a full recovery.
Veterinary Assistant
Like almost everyone who works in the veterinary world, Donovan has adored animals since his earliest days. Still, he wanted to go beyond that and learn more about how to keep his own and others’ pets healthy and happy. That’s why he decided to pursue veterinary medicine and devote himself to the well-being of pets! Donovan is a proud member of Pine Street Animal Clinic’s Veterinary Assistant team.
Donovan is a Cabot native and joined the hospital family in June of 2018. He serves as a Veterinary Assistant and couldn’t be happier to continue helping the area’s pets and animal parents. One of his favorite aspects of the job is getting to see patients recover and then re-examining them down the road to see the long-term results of the team’s handiwork. Donovan is also fond of parasitology work and enjoys examining samples under the microscope.
Donovan spends a lot of time away from the office doting on his own dog, a Labrador/Pit Bull mix named Samson. Samson’s favorite activities include swimming, chasing bugs in the yard, and chewing on whatever he can find.
Veterinary Assistant, Receptionist
As a child growing up in central Arkansas, all of Shawna’s favorite programs on Animal Planet involved veterinary medicine. She informed her parents at the age of four that she would one day become an animal doctor! Shawna’s dream hasn’t wavered since—she’s thrilled to continue her journey right here at Pine Street Animal Clinic.
Shawna first joined the Pine Street Animal Clinic family during her veterinary school application process. She couldn’t be happier to do what she loves on a daily basis, and she makes it her mission to treat each and every visitor to the clinic as if they were her very own pet. Shawna especially likes to educate clients on great care techniques, and loves helping a pet owner better understand the specific needs of their four-legged friend.
Shawna’s hobbies outside of veterinary care include horseback riding, fishing, and spending time with her family and pets. Along with her husband, she lives with three dogs—Whiskey and Mufasa, both Rottweilers, and a Doberman who goes by German—as well as two loveable cats named Houdini and Merlin. The family also has six horses, all of whom are rescues.
Reception Supervisor
Amy believes she was put on this earth to help others. That includes our animal companions! She simply can’t imagine doing anything else with her days other than helping pets and their owners live the happiest, healthiest lives possible. Amy serves as the hospital’s Reception Supervisor.
Amy was raised all over the country as a “military brat,” and first joined the veterinary profession in 2000 when she signed on at a clinic in Wichita Falls, Texas. Next, she had the opportunity to take a management position at a hospital in Clovis, New Mexico, before relocating again to Little Rock, Arkansas. Amy brought her own pets here to Pine Street Animal Clinic and was a long-time client before she joined the hospital family herself—that was in early 2018, and she is now the supervisor of the front-desk team.
Outside of work, Amy enjoys kayaking, working in her yard, collecting vintage Pyrex, and antiquing. She also loves to spend time with her two ferrets at home, Stanley and Federko.
Receptionist
As a child, Bobbi would fill her parents’ home with stray animals—she tended to every creature she could find who seemed like they were in need. She knew from an early age that helping the innocent was what she was made to do. When the opportunity arose for Bobbi to join the veterinary profession, she knew it was the perfect fit!
Bobbi joined the Pine Street Animal Clinic family in 2018 and has been a member of the team ever since. She serves as a front-desk receptionist and also manages the clinic’s kennel operations. For her, getting to help others’ pets on a daily basis is a dream come true, and her favorite part of every shift is knowing that she’s able to make a difference in the lives of others.
